Notes/Domino 6 and 7 Forum : RedHat: Changing default /opt/lotus on RH causes -listen: libnotes.so not for found!

Hi folks

I've tried to start to setup 6.5 in -listen mode from the notesdata directory, but it failed with the following error:

[notesusr@orion notesdata]$ /usr/local/bin/lotus/notes/latest/linux/server -listen
/usr/local/bin/lotus/notes/latest/linux/server: error while loading shared libraries:
libnotes.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

So I checked libnotes.so . It's definitly in the mentioned...lates/linux directory and also in the path:

[notesusr@orion linux]$ echo $PATH
/usr/local/bin:/bin:/usr/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/usr/local/bin/lotus/notes/latest/linux:./:/home/notesusr/bin

[notesusr@orion linux]$ echo $PATH
-r-xr-xr-x 1 root daemon 35786950 Sep 19 15:10 libnotes.so

This problem might have to do with my change of the mentioned path in the redbook sg246835.pdf or maybe with proper execution rights,

[notesusr@orion linux]$ id
uid=511(notesusr) gid=511(notesusr) Gruppen=511(notesusr),600(domino)

The ..\linux\.. directory belongs to 'daemon'.
/etc/group :
daemon:x:2:root,bin,daemon

Is that's the problem?

Or can anybody give me a hint, where to search for the failure reason?
